• Financial Data: Bank account details (for withdrawals), transaction history, and wallet balances. Note: We do not store full credit card details on our servers; these are handled by secure payment gateways like Paystack, Flutterwave, or PayPal.

• Verification Data: Government-issued ID photos (for “Verified” status) and headshots.

• Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, and cookies to improve site performance and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Facilitate the hiring process and project management.

• Calculate and display AI-powered Trust Scores.

• Process payments, commissions, and withdrawals.

• Communicate updates, security alerts, and support responses.

• Prevent fraud, money laundering, and unauthorized access.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Your information is shared only in the following contexts:

• Public Profile: Information you choose to display on your Freelancer or Employer profile is visible to all users.

• Transaction Partners: Necessary data is shared with payment processors to complete transactions.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by Nigerian law or to protect the safety and rights of our community.

4. Escrow and Payment Security

Tasks.ng uses a Wallet and Escrow system. Funds for a project are held securely by Tasks.ng until the milestone is approved by the Employer. This process requires us to track transaction data to resolve disputes and ensure fair play.

5. Your Rights (NDPR & GDPR Compliance)

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

• Rectification: Correct any inaccurate information.

• Erasure: Request the deletion of your account and data (subject to legal/transactional retention requirements).
